Q. Does Cockatoo change anything in my Vend account ?

A. No. It only displays information, it does not write/update anything back into any Vend account

Q. Why is my Register highlighted orange?

A. Because it has been updated by live data, since you last downloaded sales data into the charts

Q. Why are my charts empty?

A. The charts show sales for the current day. This will populate the charts with all sales data from the current day. It can be done as many times as you like over the day. There are two ways to do it (1) From Registers screen, swipe any register to the left, and hit the blue download button.. or (2) From the Charts screen, tap the download icon in the title bar (top right).

Q. Is timezone my current location?

A. No. The timezone that Cockatoo uses is the 'timezone' setting from your VEND account. As such, it is the timezone (i.e. the location) of your store/register. If it is set wrongly, please update it in your VEND account via the screens:
Setup-> General

Q. Why is it called 'Cockatoo' ?

A. Read the About screen 😉

Connecting to your Vend Store

1. Settings -> Account Settings

Note: Already showing your details in "Store name" then tap "Connect to Selected Account" and you're done. 😊

2. Tap "Store name" select "new entry" then tap "Select then tap here"

3. Enter your details then tap "Connect to your store(s)"

4. At "Cockatoo would like to access your Vend account", enter your details then click "Allow Access"

5. Activate screen - accept terms (tap the check box), then press "Submit"

6. When you see "Access granted" re-open
Cockatoo app, select your Store name, and then tap "Connect to Selected Account"

Problems ? then go to Settings->Contact Us and we will provide direct assistance to help.

Note: Check you have the latest version - (App Store is v1.15)

The first time you connect, please ensure the final step (6 above) is performed.

6. When you see "Access granted" re-open
Cockatoo app, select your Store name, and then tap "Connect to Selected Account"

"Recover older connection" IS FOR:

1. Moving (primary) account onto a new iPhone. *OR*

2. Just to start over, and reestablish your connection

"Recover older connection" is NOT FOR:

1. Adding additional iPhones (i.e. multiple devices) . That is much easier ! 😊 Access from additional iPhones

Removing the test data

1. Settings -> General Settings

2. Tap "Delete all Test Data"

3. Tap "Yes" to confirm

Requesting iPhone

1. Settings -> Account Settings

2. Go to "Store name" select "new entry" -> OK

3. Follow screen prompts

4. Retry after access granted

Authorising iPhone

1. Log in to Cockatoo when prompted

2. Tap "Approve"

Closing a register remotely

Slide chosen Register to the right, and tap the red square

Exercise caution when closing registers that have been operating 'offline'. Offline sales are cached locally and will not update until that register goes online again. Sales uploaded after a register closure will go into Sales History and update inventory levels, but will not be in the Register closures report.

Select a register for the badge and choose $ or #

Slide chosen Register to the right, and tick either option.
Yellow is # = how many sales, and Brown is $ = value of sales

Changing display order of Registers

1. Slide finger down the register screen to sort registers by quantity sold, amount of sales or alphabetical order

Showing today's sales in a chart

1. Go to the Registers screen

2. Tap the register you wish to view

Updating charts with the latest sales

1. Swipe any register to the left

2. Tap the blue cloud symbol.

Also: Cloud symbol at the top-right of Registers screen and Charts screen work the same way

“Individual Sales” or “Average Sales” in the line chart

1. Settings -> Chart Settings

2. Select either “Average Sale Amount” or “Individual Sale Amount”

2. Slide finger up/down the slider control on left of the pie chart to increase/decrease products shown in the pie chart

Excluding product from pie chart

This only excludes the product from showing in the Pie Chart, it does not "delete" the product.. You can un-exclude it any time you want.

1. Tap the register you wish to view

2. Tap the pie chart to view products

3. Slide finger left across the product you wish to exclude

4. Tap the “Red Square”

Un-excluding products

1. Settings -> Chart Settings -> Product Exclusions

2. Either Tap Product’s individually to include/exclude OR tap “Select All”/ “Unselect all”

Changing product colors

1. Tap the register you wish to view

2. Tap the pie chart to view products

3. Slide finger right across product

4. Tap the left icon to randomize the color or tap the paintbrush icon to choose the color

Listing all products, or just those in pie chart

1. Settings -> Chart Settings

2. Select “Only Show Products in Pie” to be On or Off
